Description

Added by Jean-Claude Linossi

Lone standing rock peak in the desert with very good views of the surroundings and rocks showing rubbings made by megafauna 10,000 years ago.

We drove through the desert  on a winding dirt road. Once at the cone we started our climb to the top. The ascent is not too difficult  and once on top we had very good views of the surrounding landscape.

Lots of interesting rock formations and also plants. There are several interesting petroglyphs on the East side  of the cone. On the west side about half a mile from the cone are several grinding holes in the rocks and rubbings made on the rocks made by mastodons thousands of years ago.
