Why are you adding a paid plan?

We’re a tiny team pursuing a big vision. Creating a PRO membership option allows us to stay more closely aligned with the needs of our community. It provides us with the independence to pursue and tell the stories that need to be told, and to be more responsive to product suggestions and improvements from our users.

How has the Outbound made money up until now?

We work with leading outdoor brands, travel destinations, tour providers, and adventure-focused lodging partners to produce and promote custom content projects, new product launches, and innovative collaborations. We also serve advertising on the site.

How will my money be used?

Revenue from PRO memberships will help cover our baseline operational costs, as well as support our efforts to engage, pay, and promote writers, photographers, and artists on our platform. We particularly want to elevate the perspectives and experiences of historically marginalized communities within the outdoors, and your support will help us do that.

How do I change my billing info?

To change any billing-related info, your PRO plan, visit your profile and click "Manage Billing".

How do I cancel my membership?

You are free to cancel your PRO membership at any time. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer full or prorated refunds right now. To cancel your PRO plan, visit your profile and click "Manage Billing".
