A popular out and back (or up and down) hike just outside Vegas. The trip up will burn you out, go early and bring water! The top will reward you with some of the best views of Las Vegas to the West, Lake Las Vegas to the South, and Lake Mead to the east.

Frenchman Mountain Trail Reviews

I thought I was going to be able to run the entire trail but the elevation gain mixed with heavy loose gravel prevented that. On the first climb you can see what appears to be 2 wrecked cars to the right of the trail. After the first climb you will have a slight downhill before you make the final climb. Once you summit, you can see Nellis AFB, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, the Las Vegas Strip, Lake Mead and beyond! Bring water and watch your step because the loose gravel is never ending! I’d recommend for anyone looking for a short but challenging hike.
