Description

Added by The Outbound Collective

The Railroad Tunnel Trail is a 7.2 mile scenic and historically significant hike in Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The trail is used by hikers, dog walkers, and bikers. Dogs are allowed on trail

These tunnels were built to support the construction of the Hoover Dam. If you decide to go all the way to the dam, there is an elevator for accessibility along with stairs. This hike is relatively flat, and perfect for children - but mind the distance.

Driving directions:

Hike the Railroad Tunnel Trail Reviews

Easy hike with great views

Did this short hike after visiting the beach father down. Tunnels were cool, but the trail was closed after the 3rd one

This was a nice like way to get exercise in, and was our last stop before the airport on our Valley of Fire - Zion - Bryce Canyon trip. You get to go through a couple tunnels which are cool (literally) and fun. A lot of the trail is really hot and unshaded. You get some views of the lake. The trail is pretty flat without any bumps in the road. I did it in flip flops by accident.
