Hike to Dickson Falls to get to the most accessible waterfall in Fundy National Park. The trail is short and beautiful and the hike is fairly easy.
Every day during the summer, Dickson Falls in Fundy National Park, sees many hikers, families and tour busses passing by. The short hike is perfectly adapted to children and groups and it is very well maintained. Half of the trail consisted of a four feet wide boardwalk with stairs (a lot of stairs) and railings. On the first intersection onto the trail, take a left for the longer and more interesting path. It passes over the Dickson Brook several times and follows the rocky walls to bring people in the valley, a couple feet away from Dickson Falls. The trail then climbs back into the woods, up to the parking lot.
Dickson Falls Trail starts on a beautiful view of the Bay of Fundy and features many informative panels about the Acadian forest, plants, ferns and animals of the park. It is the perfect trail for an instructive adventure.
To get to the trail, when entering the park in Alma, take the first left and follow Point Wolfe rd. for 2.3 km. The trail gets very crowed, so arrive early in the day and combine Dickson Falls with another trail (or several trails) nearby to make the most of your day in Fundy National Park.
