Description

Take a short hike to a summer paradise. Swim out to the island in the lake where you can test your nerves and jump.

Driving up Whistle Lake Road take a left onto Whistle Lake Terrace. Take the right at the fork and follow the dirt road. Follow the signs to the trailhead.

Starting from the dirt parking lot, walk for about 1/2 mile on Trail 20, passing Trail 21 and the outhouse, until you take a right onto Trail 204. You will continue on 204 for a little under .5 miles, passing Trail 203, and you will see where you can hop into the lake and swim to the island.

When entering the water, swim toward the low spot on the right side of the island. The smaller rock islands will almost funnel you into the spot to climb out. Climb up and to the left to the opening to the 30' jumping spot (A pair of water shoes or old tennis shoes are helpful when scrambling up the rocks). This is a popular spot when the weather gets warm so expect to see other people.

Please use caution. Watch for rocks underwater as well as any debris that may change from season to season.
