Lake views with plenty of nature on this loop trail

Great hike right in the city of Newport News.  It is a loop trail that is 4.8 miles and has a moderate level of traffic.

  • Easy, good for all skill levels
  • Pet friendly
  • Water and wooded views with lots of shade throughout
  • Clearly marked trail
  • No bikes
  • Parking at Mariners Museum and at Lions Bridge; I parked at Mariners Museum and that’s where these directions send you
  • Benches throughout the trail

Museum was cool

Museum was actually a lot of fun. Lots of neat history in there if you're into that!
