35,300 acres of wilderness with sloping stream terraces, foothills, canyons, and steep mountainsLots of caves to exploreA bunch of hiking and offroading trailsEntire range can be viewed by driving on a 54 mile loopAmazing dark skies
From Interstate 80, get off at Exit 4, just east of Wendover. After driving for about 1.5 mile north on a paved road, continue north on a dirt road for another mile to the junction. Turn right and travel east. You will now be driving on the Silver Island loop. There are sign markers located along the loop.
There are two main caves to explore in this area - Danger Cave and Jukebox Cave. Both are important archaeological sites and are open to public only once a year on May 9th. You would need to contact BLM to include yourself in the guided tour of these caves.
The Bonneville Salt Flats are also right next to the range, and you can combine your trips.
