Camp at Angel Lake in the Ruby Mountains

Angel Lake is a gem of a campground located just south of Wells, Nevada. Most people drive right by on I-80 on their way through but its definitely worth stopping for. Located at nearly 8500 of elevation the road to get their is windy and twisty with no guard rails. While towing our 27' Airstream I about had heart attack, but we made it!

The campground is mostly shrub as you are above treeline but it was quite pleasant. At 27' our Airstream was probably the max size of a trailer I'd want to take in there. 

We hiked some of the surrounding trails, played in the lake and next time we'll bring our fishing gear. 

Overall its a surprisingly peaceful little spot in the middle of a perceived inhospitable state.
