Camp at Big Bend Campground

This campground has three different campsites. All the sites are made for larger groups, so there has to be a minimum number of people to reserve a site. Site A is the largest, with the maximum capacity of 40 people. Site B fits 20 people and site C fits about 30 people. All the sites are non-electric. Sites A & B are by the Colorado River with views of Big Bend. Site C is across the street from A & B. All of them have great canyon views. There are trees that provide some shade and are often filled with singing birds. There are also fire rings and grills as well as lean-to shelters. 

We got to camp here out of sheer luck. There was only two of us and we were looking for a place to camp out after dark when we came across this campground. A friendly group saw us searching and offered to let us stay. Each group site has varying spots for you to set up a tent. We were able to pitch our tent on their site but away from the group and closer to the river. So we got some privacy, great views of stars at night and great views of the river and Big Bend in the morning.
