7 Beautiful Spots for Photography in Marin County, CA

It's tough to take a bad photo in Marin County.

With rolling hills in almost every direction, deep redwood forests, a dramatic rocky coast, and 360-degree views of the entire Bay Area, Marin County is a photographer's paradise. Whether you're shooting out at the mighty Pacific or across the Bay to the San Francisco skyline, the view is always breathtaking.

Some of our community's favorite places to take photos is up in Point Reyes National Seashore where you're likely to see herds of tule elk, bobcats, coyotes, and marine wildlife right along the trail. Mt. Tamalpais (just Mt. Tam if you want to sound like a local!), Muir Woods, and many other stunning locations make Marin Headlands another top choice for photography.

To refuel after your adventure, head to Stinson Beach and have a bite by the ocean. Casual Mexican food at the Siren Canteen is always a good call!
