Matagorda County Beach Trails Reviews

As a hike, I’ll give it a 3+. As a beach trip, a solid 4. Pros and cons: It’s on a beach, but it’s on a beach (sandy, no shade). Con: People are allowed to drive on the beach and many drive stupid. But there’s not a lot of traffic. Pro: You can just go into the ocean to swim or bring a chair and just sit out … pretty much anywhere. Way less crowded than beaches closer to Houston. There are lots of rip tide warnings though and not as many people around. Pro: if you like to fish, it’s a popular spot.
