This is the best place to hike with your dogs in the metropolitan area. It's an off-leash park so you're dogs can run free and play with other dogs.
Parking can be found at Raleigh Lagrange Rd and Trinity Rd. There are several trails to follow as well as trails that can be found into the wooded areas. The perfect place for your pup that has a decent recall. Keep in mind, there are single-track mountain bike trails that share the park.
There are several ponds that your dog can swim in and play fetch. There is also a popular "beach" area where most dog owners like to stop and let their pups play with other pups.
Following the trails, you can easily get 2-3 miles of hiking with your dogs in. Expect your dog to be sleepy for the rest of the day!

Hike at The Outback at Shelby Farms Park Conservancy Reviews
My dog grew up running these trails and loved every minute of it. I would ride my mountain bike and he would lead the way. You can switch it up and ride a variety of different loops. Great fun!!
