Excellent hike! This was my 1st 4000’ and WOW! The only downside is the amount of people on the summit...and parking. We parked 1 mile from the trail. So from car to car we did 9.9 miles.

I loved this hike! But, there were LOTS of people. We went in summer and there were literally bus loads of kids hiking this. A lot of these kids weren’t prepared and some were crying because they were thirsty, tired, in pain. We hurried down the trail because weather can turn really fast and we saw the rain coming. We got off the trail just as the rain started. Not a rock I’d like to be on when wet.

Beautiful hike! Nothing moderate about this trail! It was hard and kicked my ass!! But, with my 7 year old grandson, my son, and my son in law, we conquered this! Rock scrambles...lots and lots of rock scrambling! Go at your own pace and bring lots of water and enjoy! The best part....only saw a handful of people on this trail.

Easy and short hike with beautiful views! Very family friendly. Good for all ages.

If the trail wasn’t marked so well, it would be easy to get lost. The trail itself is just walking through woods. Tree trunks and rocks everywhere. Trail markers are everywhere so you don’t get lost. I took the white trail to the orange trail then back again. I only saw a handful of people and they all had dogs and only one of those dogs were on a leash.

Long hike! If you continue on to the summit it is 6.8 miles round trip with a 1700’ elevation gain. We did this hike in 90+ heat with my 8 year old grandson. He was a trooper! The view from the ledge looking over Lake Solitude was beautiful! The hike to the summit was nothing great, just wanted to complete the hike so we did it. If your short on time, I wouldn’t bother to summit but definitely go to the ledge.

Excellent hiking trail! Went up Marion Davis and down Wapack Trail. The weather was beautiful and we got some amazing views of Mount Monadnock and could even see Boston. The bathrooms were very clean. The only reason for 4 stars....I don’t like coming off the trail at the summit and walking onto a parking lot.
