This is one of those hikes that make you really grateful to live in the Bay Area. The diversity of what you encounter on this trail - the wildflowers (jaw-dropping in May), the blue blue lagoon and its stark contrast with the sand dunes, then walking directly out to the beach to see the ocean - is a feast for your senses. Its really multiple hikes in one. It's also a really easy hike so it's good for the whole family! Highly recommend this.
