It is 3.5 miles one way with a est. 2,000 ft. elevation gain that requires some rock scrambling and a little bouldering depending on which way you go. There are pink arrows to help guide you but it's easy to get lost somewhere along the way. That's Picketpost! There are parts where loose rock can make it slippery going down. The trail is fully exposed with minimal shade. You will reach an unofficial mesa that you need to hike across to reach the mailbox. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen and wear hiking shoes with a solid tread. Once you're at the top, relax and enjoy the view!
