This is a great hike. Get an early start and have lunch at the falls. Tremendous amounts of blown down trees to look at as well. When crossing the log over the water, don't look down and you'll be fine.

Left early on a hot day. Had a great time. We were even able to wade in the water. The boards on the west side of the lake were partially submerged, so we did get wet feet. If not wanting that, go left around the lake to a view of the mountain, then double back.

Well worth the hike. Even new hikers can do this one, we had two 7 year old kids with us. Can get crowded.

When you see the sign that says difficult and more difficult, believe it. Beautiful flowers and views. A winner

We made it to Umrella Falls, but never could find the Sahalie Falls trail, and no one we asked had any information. Different web pages have different starting points. Will try again when the snow melts

I was so excited to do this trail only to find out it was closed. I talked to a Hood River Sheriff and he said it will probably never reopen..
