This short walk near Auckland delivers stunning views of New Zealand's West Coast.

Starting at the end of Log Race Road, just outside Piha, this well groomed loop track takes you along the cliff line above the Tasman Sea and back to the carpark. The Mercer Bay Loop guarantees access to some stunning scenery, and has plenty of accessible spots to stop and take pictures, have lunch, and enjoy the views along the way.

Pretty view of the west coast

This hike offers a beautiful view of the Piha coast as well as statues offering information on local history and folklore.

Have done this a couple of times, some great views along the coast. Easy enough hike with a few steep bits

We did this hike on one of our first days in New Zealand and it was an awesome welcome to the beautiful country! the hike Is a good length for a quick fun day trip and the views of the coast line and green hills inland are simply breath taking. A definite must do if your in the area!
