Easy and fairly short tail with excellent views of the rock formations. The sandstone colors of the surrounding rock cover the entire color spectrum.

Start the hike from the parking area. At the beginning, the trail is rather sandy. Further in, the trail gets easier and has wonderful views of the surrounding rocks and there is interesting desert vegetation. The colors in the rocks are incredible! This is one one the prettier hikes in the park.

Hike the Rainbow Vista Trail Reviews

The name, "Rainbow Vista Trail" was a bit confusing to me. I looked everywhere for a rainbow arched rock or rainbow colors. This should really be called the Fire Canyon Overlook Trail. The view from the trail end is amazing. We saw long-horned sheep looking down at us from high perches. The sand is deep at times and hard to walk through, but worth the effort.
