My husband and I didn’t feel like going on a typical hike. So this was the next best thing! The reservoir is about half a mile from the trail head/road and then half a mile back (1 mile total). We brought an eno and snacks and made an afternoon out of it! There weren’t very many people there we only maybe saw 4 people! Definitely recommend!

My husband and I absolutely loved this hike! We ended up doing it backwards so it was a little harder since we did a pretty steep incline first. Definitely take the road first (aka don’t take the trail first—even though you’ll see a sign) and then you’ll go left onto the trail once you’ve seen the water shed (which was used for old steam trains) after a few miles. Parts of the hike can be boring but overall this hike was beautiful, and very rewarding. Beautiful fall colors too! You won’t regret this hike or drive (if you’re like us and drove 2 hours)

This trail is super flat, and honestly very boring. More a glorified walk as my siblings and I say. Great if you want to get outdoors and get some exercise but not deal with too but elevation gain. Definitely recommend for beginners
