We really enjoyed this park in Blacksburg. We drove about an hour from Roanoke and it was worth the drive. (Went down Blacksburg Rd. to get to the easy to find Park so that was a beautiful drive in itself) The walk was very easy with wide mown paths that wound through woods and fields, by a small lake, creeks, and meadows. We saw and heard meadow larks, red winged blackbirds and indigo buntings, among others. Saw and heard wildlife in various places, some we identified, others just made themselves known by crashing around through the underbrush. Oh, and there were plenty of flowers and photographic opportunities! All in all it was an enjoyable, easy walk. We will be returning again, I'm sure!
