Such a bummer that Portland was having a smoggy day when we hiked up here (Wildwood Trail). But the view was still amazing! Definitely want to come back and actually check out the mansion, it was closed when we arrived.

Wildwood Trail in Washington Park

WOW! Okay, so first time hiker here and this was literally the most perfect trail to start on. I was really bummed for a long time thinking that the first time I go on a hike I'm going to have to do a short one and therefore a boring one. Wildwood Trail really delivers. My friend and I started from the road so we could just do the leg that takes you up to Pittock Mansion. This is a great trail for anyone that is new to hiking or wants to run most of the trail. It's smooth, very little branches or anything in your way, so it was really safe. It is a steep hike, but if we could do it I bet you can too! When you get to the top you get some of the most amazing views of Portland. We only had a couple hours left on hour trip and this hike was well worth it!
