DirectionsTo get to this waterfall turn off of CA-299 onto Big Bend Rd ~20.0 miles SW of the intersection with CA-89. Follow Big Bend Rd for ~0.8 miles to the small parking area off the eastern side of the road, immediately south of the bridge over Hatchet Creek. From here, follow the use-trail East to the falls (~0.1 miles).

Hatchet Falls is a water fall located off of Big Bend Road in Shasta County, California. It is about a 40 min drive east of Redding on highway 299. There is an awesome log that you can climb up and jump off, or you can climb the log to the top of the falls for a higher jump. Just remember there is about a 10 - 15 ft radius that is deep enough to jump into around the log and close to the falls.
