The Badlands are so different from the flatness of most of the rest of the state - and that's what makes them so beautiful. My advice is to just stop and take it all in - no talking, no pictures, just looking - for a minute, for five minutes, for an hour. Feel the freedom of the wide open spaces. It's truly an amazing view, experience, and feeling. The Badlands are beautiful in their own rough, harsh way, and there is a reason they attract visitors from all over the world.

There was not very many tourists/people on this trail in general, which made it very enjoyable. The hike was gorgeous and peaceful -- well worth it. The falls themselves were great - a relaxing place to sit & soak in the sunshine or a great place to eat a sack lunch. Easy to get to the water and lots of cool logs and fallen trees to climb on as well!

Its a great view, especially in the fall, when the leaves are turning. You truly can see a very long way and it's a nice, peaceful place. The tower was recently redone with more safety enforcements.
