Maybe it's because I'm used to Sequoias and Redwoods here in California, but I just didn't find the Grove of the Patriarchs all that exciting. The bridge over the river is neat, but the trees themselves aren't impressive. Lots of interesting info though, so at least I got something out of it. But I wouldn't go out of my way to see this.

Don't miss Hot Creek; it's easy to get to and has an amazing view of the river leading to the mountains, with the steam from the hot springs making for a really killer shot. I didn't have trouble posting up with my tripod on a popular May weekend; I don't think a lot of people know about this spot (yet).

This isn't the most spectacular thing you'll see in Bryce, but it's an easy walk with no crowds. Definitely off the beaten path, and it's nice to take in the silence and have the place to yourselves. The bridge is a picturesque spot to take in the hoodoos, and the cave itself has a neat ecosystem if you look closely.

This is an easy walk to an amazing view. Definitely worth a stop along the Icefields Parkway. Just be aware that Tiffany is a pro, and it can be dangerous to get to where she is in these photos. The current is strong, and you're very close to the edge. Come in the early morning for some beautiful light.

This is a gorgeous way to see the fjords of Norway. I considered it pretty easy, and it was shorter than I expected. Take your time at the rock, meet some people there. It will likely be pretty crowded (unless you go around sunrise/sunset), so be aware that getting a photo without people in your background will be almost impossible. And don't miss exploring the nearby town of Stavanger while you're there.
