These are the icons of Iceland and worth more than one trip to catch them in different conditions. My time to photograph these is when the northern lights come out.

This is the best way to see the park with some solitude.

The summer crowds are relentless but that doesn't take away from how amazing Grand Prismatic Spring is.

There's a lot packed into this drive and I enjoy it even more under a full moon.

A fun hike down that gifts you a spectacular view of the falls.

One of the most stunning features in the park. I've had great sunrises and sunsets when photographing here.

Another great lake in the Tetons and a lot fewer people than Jenny Lake.

One of the best spots for night photography in the park and Eric is right, very few others there.

I love the seclusion this spot has in the early season. So much less noise and people compared to the other park campgrounds.

One of my favorite spots in the park. I've had numerous great sunsets and sunrises as well the occasional moose or other wildlife.

Beautiful views and majestic views. You might need bug spray.

It's a fun hike and there are beautiful views of the valley but the falls don't compare to those in the PNW. Still a stunning sight to see if you're looking for one of the better falls in the area.

This is a popular spot being one of Ansel Adam's famous photograph locations. Even in -20˚F during the winter I've shared the overlook with other photographers. If you're looking to replicated Ansel's shot, keep in mind the trees have gotten much taller.

One of the best trail running loops in the national parks. If you go early season (usually June) bring an ice axe for numerous steep snowfield crossings.

Incredible loop for running too. If you go early season (usually June) bring an ice axe for numerous steep snowfield crossings.

Not as scenic as the snake river in front of the Tetons but a great place to relax and find wildlife.

Under appreciated and starkly beautiful park.

Great views of the reservoir and nice elevation gain for running.

Another beautiful hike in this under-appreciated NP.

This iconic spot is extremely popular for sunrise when the arch glows with the morning light. Winter when it's very cold out is your best chance for avoiding large groups of photographers.

Very rewarding hike with beautiful and stark scenery along the way. Standing on such a big arch so high up is a rare experience so spend some time there.

Bring cash or check for the entrance/camping fee.

Beautiful and remote spot. It's hard to make great images here but there's lots of other fun to be had.

Fun hike and scramble. If you have a smaller dog you might need to help them up/down spots.
