When its big, I wouldn't recommend it to newer surfers. The waves can get very heavy and I've been on several occasions where some guys couldn't paddle out

The hike was a little harder than I expected but it was a great trip overall. The hot tubs were very relaxing and pretty close to where people can camp.
I would bring a camera to take pictures because the scenery is breathtaking... After you pass the waterfall you can continue further for a longer hike.
