Dierkes Lake is a quaint, local favorite location for swimming, cliff jumping and diving with awesome views. It's the perfect place to cool off on a hot summer day when visiting Shoshone Falls.

Dierkes Lake is located in the same park as Shoshone Falls so the $3 per carload entrance fee allows you to see both amazing locations.

Just after the ticket booth in the park take a right at the fork in the road that will take you directly to Dierkes Lake, where you will find ample parking in the lot.

The cool, refreshing lake includes a designated area for swimming that is monitored by lifeguards and is encased by a dock you can jump off of or sunbathe on and a diving board.

Outside of the swimming area are some small cliffs to jump from. The water is fairly deep here but use caution when jumping and make sure to jump out as far from the cliffs as possible.

A large picnic area with restrooms and a sandy beach makes it perfect for groups.

There's a lot to do here and the views surrounding this small lake are beautiful.
