Description

Gullfoss is a magnificent Icelandic waterfall that flows into a vast canyon below and looks as if it is vanishing into the center of the earth!

Part of the Golden Circle, Gullfoss is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. Gullfoss is 32m (105 feet). Gullfoss known as the Golden Falls is located in a vast canyon along the Hvítá river.

Gullfoss can be seen from the main parking area. The paths are clearly marked offering a closer view of the falls.

If you plan to get close to the falls be sure to wear a rain coat!

Gullfoss is 109km east of Reykjavík and is about an hour and a half drive from the capital.
