Born in Washington, Raised in Montana, Temporarily residing in Iowa. Crisp air, dense forests, cold lakes, towering summits, and clapping thunder is what I like best--- Sharing the landscapes that I experience through photography is what I enjoy most.

Honestly, this is the only hike that I have done inside of RMNP, but it was AMAZING. It is a perfect balance of hiking through forests, alpine tundra, (we had some snowfields near the lake), and a phenomenal view of Chasm Lake at the top! Take a plunge if you are truly daring... IT'S WORTH IT.

This hike was awesome- very easy while still offering some phenomenal views! The mileage suggested on the adventure is 7.9 miles, yet I believe that the actual trail was no more than 5 miles. Nonetheless, try to do this hike in the morning, as thunderstorms are bound to roll around in the afternoon!

This is a favorite in Glacier, the boardwalk allows for simple hiking, and the views are unbeatable. The hike down to Hidden Lake can be difficult on the knees as it is a rapid descent, but not too much of a problem. To complete the hike, it is necessary to take a dip in the FRIGID lake. Also, take a break and eat lunch on the shores of the beach- it is a great place to relax. The ascent back to the overlook is a bit of a scramble, but this hike is vital for anyone who visits Glacier National Park.

This is one of my favorite hikes, it is an easy summit and can be accomplished in a short amount of time. The only downfall of the Jewel is the road to Camp Misery, the washboard and potholes are hard on any vehicle making the ascent. The best time to summit Aeneas is right at sunrise- there are generally about a dozen mountain goats who make the trek every morning, and it's very likely that you will be able to witness the sunrise along with them. After your descent, make sure that you stop by Echo Lake Café and enjoy a big breakfast.

This is a great hike and not too far off from the Many Glacier Hotel. When we first caught sight of the strikingly blue lake, we could see a Bull Moose standing in the water- it only added to the beauty of the surrounding area. On a hot summer day, the mine shaft is worth the extra scramble in order to cool down, the temperatures are significantly cooler and quite refreshing. Bring headlamps in order to explore the mine shaft, it isn't too deep, but fun to walk through. Cracker Lake is a definitely a favorite in Glacier.
