Pinkerton hot spring is a unique rock formation made by thermal waters.

The Million Dollar Highway in Southern Colorado is a scenic mountain drive with many beautiful sights.  Pinkerton hot springs is located on the side of the highway just outside of Durango, Colorado.  There is a small pullout area for parking with a plaque explaining the history of the area and the Pinkerton Ranch and hot springs.  The minerals from the spring have created quite a unique rock formation with a small pool to one side.  It's a great place to stop, stretch those legs, and snap a few photos before continuing down the Million Dollar Highway.

Soak at Pinkerton Hot Spring Reviews

This is a great stop on the Million Dollar Highway. I've stopped here many times to take pictures and stretch my legs on the travels through Colorado. I've never actually soaked in the pools as they looked murky on my last visit and I was on a mission to get to camp after a long drive from Arizona.
