Did this hike a few weeks ago and loved it. Had most of the trail to myself, and oh the grove at the bottom. I had been in Stout Grove earlier in the day, which helped me appreciate that the champions of the Tall Trees Grove were indeed taller, grand columns in a creekside cathedral. I'd love to camp here sometime.

Summited in June of 2015, and what a summit it is. The views are spectacular in all directions, but the best part was the glimpse of the southern shores of Crater Lake. Thielsen is just tall enough to peer down into the caldera. Go early, before the winds and clouds pick up, and before other hikers make it to the top. We had the summit to ourselves.

The sunset I took in from Misery Ridge was one of the most spectacular I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The Cascades from Bachelor to Hood, silhouetted in front of vibrant skies. Perfect!
