Perhaps the best view of Lake Louise, and eliminates most of the crowd

This is a fairly steep, short hike that gives you a great view of Lake Louise. The hike begins right behind the canoe rental shop on the South side of the lake. The trail is very easy to follow and there are quite a few people that hike it. The hike is an hour and half round trip.

The hike leads you up to a stunning view of Lake Louise. You end at a wood viewing tower. You can go past the tower, but there are signs that look frightening that say that the trail is dangerous. If you are decent at hiking, don't worry about the sign. If you keep going, you lose the crowd and if offers a great place to put up a hammock.

Unfortunately, there are always a billion people at Lake Louis. If you want to get away from the crowd, this is a great option!

Hike to the Lake Louise Overlook Reviews

Short trail to the lookout. You can continue further as well. You get an incredible view from the top and it’s crazy how blue the lake is, it seems unreal! The trail is dog friendly and usually not too busy

Quick trail that is a little steep all the way to the lookout. Great for families, and great for all seasons. Trail packed down during the winter
