Scenic drive to the lighthouse of Peggy's Cove.

Peggy's Cove is 43 kilometers (26 miles) southwest of Downtown Halifax and comprises one of the numerous small fishing communities located around the perimeter of the Chebucto Peninsula. The community is named after the cove of the same name, a name also shared with Peggy's Point, immediately to the east of the cove. The village marks the eastern point of the St. Margaret's Bay.

We went later in the day when they were fewer crowds. Made it easier to find parking and the place I wasn’t riddled with people. It’s still very important to be careful where you step, because even this year, 2022, two people were swept out to sea in one died. They built a beautiful platform and boardwalk. Where are you can take in the views. There is also a nice bathroom that is accessible to everyone.

Super beautiful place for a walk around. Interesting geology around together with unique and very colorful architecture make the place one of a kind. It can be super busy .

Peggy's cove is accompanied by a beautiful scenic, but short drive. The "village" is spectacularly charming and quaint. Its an experience of a life time! You absolutely have to have lunch & try the seafood.

Great for photography

This place never gets old... From the tide to the horizon! You can have waves violently smashing on the rocks and the wind is so strong that you can lean into it! Or it'll be calm and colourful waters! Make sure you stay OFF the dark coloured rocks, one wrong step and you can slip and into the ocean you go! Seriously, people have disappeared because they haven't been careful! Check your sunset times, come early and explore the coast line, have a bite to eat and watch the sunset! You won't be disappointed!
