Short trail to one of the best waterfalls on Vancouver Island!

Set in beautiful Campbell River, B.C., this place offers a lot in so few kilometers! The suspension bridge opened over Elk River in May of 2015. It offers a unique view of the falls!

From the trailhead, the hike only takes about fifteen minutes till you reach the suspension bridge/lookout. The trail continues on for another 5 kilometers for those who are looking to do some trail running.

You can access the head of the waterfall and upper river through joining trails that branch off from the suspension bridge. Swimming is not recommended, though in the summer, the upper river calms down and there are some really nice swimming holes to be found.

It is only a 5 minute drive from Campbell River, B.C. so it is not necessary to bring food; though having a picnic up there would be a great idea!

This place offers incredible views and is for sure something to add to the list!

Enjoy!
