This is a great place to take a short walk on the beach, have a snack, and relax as the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean. There are lots of small trees near the tree line perfect for setting up a hammock.

Follow the trail leading from the end of the parking lot down onto the beach. From the parking lot to the beach the walk is about a quarter of a mile, with a slight decrease in elevation as you move down to the beach.

To get to the beach, take 72B off of Highway 101 and turn west onto Main Street in Trinidad, CA. Then take a right onto Stagecoach road, and follow this for about 1/2 a mile until you see a small turnout for College Cove beach.

Note, there is a longterm detour to College Cove, which goes as follows:

From Trinidad, go north on Patrick’s Point Drive 0.5 mile, then west (left) on Anderson Lane 0.25 mile until it dead ends, north (right) on Stagecoach Road, then quick west (left) turn at sign for College Cove parking lot.
