Did this awesome hike on July 2nd, we forgot about the permit until we got there but luckily were able to buy them on our phones. It’s like $6 i think. Very easy hike in, just down some pretty mellow switch backs and the falls/pool had a ton of water!! Awesome place to swim! Don’t take the water warnings as overkill though, the hike out in late afternoon was pretty brutal just because of the heat. If you’re used to hiking in the 90s temp range it’s not too bad but my buddy from the east coast was hurting a little. Hit the trail early and carry water and you’ll be fine!
