I went on a hike to Lower Chush Falls on July 8, 2019. The tree-fall mentioned in the review has been cleared from the trail, but the trail takes hikers away from the water for most of the hike. The sensitive restoration areas must be where the best views are. The main viewpoint for the falls is obstructed by trees, and the "trails" down to the bottom of the falls are not trails at all. There are a large number of falls in the area, but there is no effort to make them accessible, rather visitation seems discouraged. Still, the blast from the spray (Central Oregon has had an unseasonably generous amount of rain this year) from the falls was a welcome reward for the rough drive and uninspiring hike in.
