Explore the Hamilton Botanical Gardens
Hamilton, Victoria
Description
Added by Josh Currie
Hamilton Gardens was voted International Garden of the Year in 2014. With over 20 themed gardens you will be entertained the entire day.
The Hamilton Gardens is a massive property right along the Waikato River which runs through the city. The focus of the gardens is to replicate the historical gardens of specific civilizations around the world.
Parking is very easy as there is a massive lawn in front of the entrance and there is no entrance fee for the gardens. Aside from walking the paths through the gardens there is a cafe overlooking the small lake as well as a large open lawn for musical performances and even food trucks on the weekends.
Properly looking at all the different gardens will take you quite some time, so if you can swing it I would plan an entire day for it or split it up between a few days. There is so much information and beauty to look at so no need to rush through the unique property. Enjoy!
