Beautiful spot with very few crowds. Trails are wide and fairly easy to navigate. Definitely worth it! Stop at Alice's on the way back (if it's not too crowded) for a great post-hike meal!

What a wonderful spot with a tranquil trail to follow through the forest. Definitely many forks, so it's difficult to be certain that you're on the right one. Only downside was the others on the trail who were speaking very loudly... I imagine this gets busy on the weekends.

I loved my kayak tour. Slough is generally calm and therefore is good even for beginners. I chose to do a tour rather than explore on my own with a rental so that I could hear a little about all the wildlife we were encountering. Definitely good to see it via kayak, but it looked like standup paddleboard would have been fun too!

This trail offers good views of the flatirons from a distance. Fairly flat 4-mile loop that you can do with your dog off leash (if they have the city of Boulder voice and sight tags). Water available. Watch out for the random rattlesnake or cow!

This is an amazing loop to do on snowshoes (can also hike this loop during the summer months from Mud Lake trail). Not crowded, plenty of snow, and a well packed trail. Try it... you will enjoy!
