I just hiked the trail last weekend, supposedly the Beachwood entrance is now closed. I used the directions from the hiking guy website https://www.google.com/amp/s/hikingguy.com/hiking-trails/best-la-hikes/easy-hollywood-sign-hike/amp/ I had no issues at all with parking. The climb is a little tough and I saw several people turn around but it’s definitely do able for a beginner and the views make it worth it! It was absolutely breath taking when I went and I recommend it to anyone in town.

Make sure you pick up a map before you start this hike, the trails aren’t marked. I got lost on this hike even with my map, luckily it’s not a large area so I made it back safely. Besides that though the area is beautiful and it is dog friendly.

I picked this trail for my first hike and I enjoyed it. There's several trails to choose from which was nice, I do suggest bringing a map if you plan to walk all of them. The outlook was breathtaking and the trail was very well maintained.
