Raft the Zambezi River
Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

An unforgettable adventure with tons of rapids and a lot of action the entire time. Plus some breathtaking scenery.
My group went with this guiding company (although there are a few to choose from, so do some research). They picked us up from our hostel and then brought us to their coffee shop. This is where they gave us a safety briefing and they collected all of our items that we did not want to bring on the raft. They secured everything in envelopes that were stapled and then put them into a waterproof case.
From the coffee shop they transported us to the starting location. We had to climb down a steep set of stairs for 10-15 min in order to reach the river at the bottom of the valley. Once at the bottom we were put into boats and sent on our way.
During the rafting trip we went over 19 different rapids with multiple "freebies" along the way. There were multiple grade 5 rapids along the route and I fell out of the raft twice, this seemed to be average for my group. The guides were knowledgeable about the river/ area we were in and were entertaining during the trip.
After the Rafting trip we had to climb up that same set of stairs. They told us the longest anyone had ever taken was 3 hours, the normal time was anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes. At the top they served us a meal along with soda, water and beer. After we were done eating they dropped us off back at our hostel.
