Summer is hands-down the most popular season for people to take some time away from their desks and explore the outdoors. Even without a whole lot of days, you can still enjoy the beauties of the Yosemite Valley if you know what to look for.
There are many campground available for reservations in Yosemite but if you're looking for a more quiet experience, check out the Wawona Campground, located just above Fish Camp on highway 41. It's a little further away from the popular attractions but you'll find less people to distract you.
If you're the type to enjoy being in the middle of all the action, try reserving a camping spot somewhere near the Valley like North Pines. Essentially, any campground near Curry Village is ideal if you're looking to be close to a lot of convenient amenities. There's a free shuttle system linking the cafe, restaurant, grocery store and showers together which makes is absolutely convenient for visitors looking to save time.
There are plenty of activities you can pursue alone or as a group including bike rentals, scenic walks, hiking trails, waterfalls and various water activities. Staying in the Valley makes a perfect weekend getaway and balancing relaxation and adventure is easy.
