Swim in the Firehole River Swimming Hole

Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Description

Added by Benjamin Johnson

The Firehole River Swimming Hole has a natural rapid water current for riding, several cliffs that are the perfect heights for jumping, and a small cave just deep enough in the cliff side for hiding. It would be a shame to visit Yellowstone National Park and miss this gem!

This little swimming hole is right off of the road and easily accessible. The water is pretty cold but the currents and cliffs make for entertainment so that you won't stay cold for long. If you want to enjoy a nice, easily accessible, swimming hole in Yellowstone, the Firehole can't be beat! Oh and do be careful cliff jumping, try to aim for the water directly in front of the cave so you don't hit the bottom of the river too quickly!
