Description

Added by KayDee Johnson

At 10,700 feet you'll be rewarded with a breathtaking sunset setting over some majestic peaks in the Tetons. If you trek up there with your camera, you'll be rewarded with amazing photographs from the golden light on the peaks to the multicolor sunset with the mountains silhouette.

This is a popular loop in the Teton National Park at about 17 miles it makes for a perfect overnight in the mountains. The backpacking is scenic and has it's easy sections and a few harder ones, but in the end it is all worth it. You'll hike in Paintbrush Canyon and Cascade Canyon with spectacular views of the mountains, creeks, and maybe even moose. If you head out in autumn the fall colors will reward you but be prepared for the cooler weather, especially when viewing the sunset. And of course, once the sunset sets at the divide you will still have to make it to camp, in the dark, so have your head lamp on hand.
