Description

Added by Zoua Xiong

This is an easy hike along the lake that leads to Eagle Tower. Depending on how much snow there is, you might need snowshoes.

Depending on the snow levels, you may need snowshoes. Call the park to ask about the snow. If snowshoes are needed but you don't own any, you can rent from Nor Door Sport & Cyclery. When we went, there wasn't enough snow on the ground for snowshoes but we did bring yaktrax for icy parts of the trail.

Before starting on the Minnehaha Trail, enjoy views of Nicolet Bay from Nicolet Beach, located right next to the parking lot. If the ice is thick enough, you can walk out onto the bay. After the bay, walk down past the campsites to arrive at the Minnehaha Trail. Follow the signs and enjoy the snow covered scenery. The trail takes you to Eagle Tower so you will have to walk back the same way.
