Hike a loop through a pine, beech, birch, and larch forest along Iller Creek and see Spokane Valley's "Big Rocks"! Total mileage: 5.0 miles, loop. Elevation gain: 1200 ft. Highest point: 3200 ft.
Iller Creek hike leads you on a 5 mile loop through lush shaded forest to a ridge with excellent views of the Eastern Washington Palouse. I love the variety of trees through the forest on this hike! Half way through the hike you reach the Big Rocks (Rocks of Sharon) which is a popular rock climbing destination! Continue on through the loop back through a birch forest. I like to hike this loop counter-clockwise up along the creek and down across the ridge! This is one of my favorite hikes in Spokane and is also an excellent snowshoe route in the winter!
