Stunning beaches provide incredible backdrops for sunset photography opportunities.

Along the stretch of US Hwy 101 near the unincorporated resort area known as, "Kalaloch," there are many roadside pull-offs to numerous beaches perfect for photography and sight seeing. Be sure to check the weather to make sure you will have a clear evening and get there early to scope out a spot to shoot from. Once you have picked one out keep an eye out for migratory gray whales, sea lions, seals, porpoises, and orcas, as well as bald eagles and other birds. The beaches are endless, but the main beaches are: Beaches 1-4, Kalaloch, and Ruby Beach. Ruby Beach is the most popular so if you are looking for a secluded spot, maybe settle on one of the other beaches.

If you are looking to spend a few nights here there are a few options. Kalaloch Campground has numerous sites perched on a cliff above a beach. Additionally, the Kalaloch Lodge is a more luxurious option and has recently been named as, "the Best place to watch a sunset," by Northwest Escapes.
