Summer is just around the corner which means it’s road trip season! Everyone deserves a good old fashioned road trip once in awhile and Idaho is the perfect destination for you and your crew this summer. We’ve got a week-long road trip itinerary that covers some of our favorite destinations across the state. Need to find some great camp spots? Be sure to check out KOA and make some plans today!

Day 1: Camp at Blue Lake

This beautiful lakeside campsite near Cascade, Idaho is just a mile hike from your car, but you’ll feel worlds away. Spend the day by the lake or hike above for amazing views of the valley below. Then pack up the car and hit the road.

Day 2: Explore Boise, Idaho

Leaving Blue Lake will be tough, but don’t worry, Boise’s got your back. There is so much to do here - adventure all day long, and sip on craft beer in the evening.

Day 3: Explore Shoshone Falls

You’ve probably heard of Niagara Falls. You may not have heard of Shoshone Falls, but guess what? It’s even taller than America’s most famous waterfall! Bring your camera, you’ll want to get a good shot of the fam with the falls as the backdrop.

Day 4: Explore Sun Valley, Idaho

This world famous ski destination is just as much fun in the summer. Enjoy hiking (bring your pup!), mountain biking, and another opportunity from some delicious Idaho beer

Day 5: Explore Stanley, Idaho

Drive north just about an hour and you’ll reach the gateway to the epic Sawtooth Mountains - Stanley, Idaho. This is for sure one of America’s most underrated adventure destinations.

Day 6: Camp at Fall Creek Falls

The 4 hour drive from Stanley will be well worth it when you lay your eyes on Fall Creek Falls. A night spent here is worth it just for the sunrise light reaching over the mountains and pouring onto the falls.
