A beautiful preserve. Silent.
We went from Knight Trail to Johnston Trail until the Falls Overlook and back. There is a little path that trails off to the side that lets you go all the way to the creek and I highly recommend taking it, it hardly adds any extra walking.
Next time I will probably take Duval trail up to the overlook then Johnston back to Knight to go by the creek on the way down.
I had read elsewhere that the overlook is most impressive in the spring, but I wasn't concerned because I also saw it was the second highest waterfall in the state. Because of that I was very disappointed because it is the second highest, not widest or most impressive (it's in the second picture). It was literally a trickle from very faraway when I went in the fall (September). Nonetheless, this was one of my favorite hikes, it was SO silent because it is so far away from people and that was really, really nice.
